Philip C. Henry
A native of Lafayette, Georgia, Phil graduated with high honors from The University of Georgia in 1975 and with honors from Cumberland School of Law of Samford University in 1978. He has over 30 years experience and is the senior partner of our firm. Phil has a distinguished record with numerous settlements and trial verdicts of more than one million dollars. He handles injury and death cases arising out of car wrecks, tractor-trailer collisions, construction accidents, defective products, medical malpractice, defective roadways, and other causes of personal injury or death. He was lead counsel in the much publicized case of Brown v. The Fulton-DeKalb Hospital Authority (State Court of Fulton County, Georgia), which resulted in a jury verdict of $14,915,670.
Phil is an elected member of The American College of Trial Lawyers, a prestigious national organization limited to the top 1% of trial attorneys from each state. He has been named to Best Lawyers in America for 18 consecutive years, and was chosen as the 2013 "Lawyer of the Year" in the Atlanta Plaintiffs Medical Malpractice category. Phil has also been selected as a "Top Ten" attorney in the state of Georgia by Super Lawyers for each of the past 6 years, and was recently designated a Legal Elite by Georgia Trend Magazine. In addition, Phil is AV Rated by Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest possible peer review rating available for both legal ability and ethical standards. He is also rated 10.0/10.0 by AVVO. Phil began his practice with an insurance defense firm where he gained invaluable experience and insight into how large corporations and insurance companies defend accident lawsuits and wrongful death cases. This work helped Phil understand how he would distinguish himself from other personal injury attorneys in Atlanta. Since 1986, he has limited his practice solely to representing individuals with claims against corporations, insurance companies, and healthcare providers.
